Whoop! Whoop!!! The check is in the mail! Our first installment for the Tissue Navigator at Stanford has been mailed and Dr. Monje is planning to have that position filled in January. Thank you for helping us reach our Annual Appeal goal and making Swifty’s California Dream a reality!

Alas, do not worry if you have not made your year-end donation yet! Swifty has many other interesting projects to fund! Some of the projects include:

  1. Medulloblastoma in the Mountains – a three-day gathering of medulloblastoma researchers from around the world. – $20,000/1 year
  2. Post-Therapy Metastasis: Facing the Real Challenge of Medulloblastoma Treatment – this research program aims to prevent metastatic relapse due to radiation treatment. –  $495,000/3 years
  3. A Tissue Navigator at Children’s National in Washington DC.  – $355,000/3 years

Medulloblastoma is the most common form of brain cancer in children, and unfortunately the kind our Michael died from. We fund medulloblastoma research in the hope that we can save other families from suffering the loss we endure.

With cancer now the leading cause of death by disease in children and brain cancer the deadliest form of cancer, your support is needed and appreciated more than ever.
