Holidays Re-Thunk

Over the last 22 months, many people re-evaluated their work-life, how they spend their time, and how they move and live in the world. If a gift of the pandemic is people realizing the preciousness of their life and the life of those they love, we hope the next step is people realizing the preciousness of all life. Especially the lives of children, who have so much living yet to do.

So, the holidays are approaching and companies are planning for their client/employee gifts and families and individuals are making their holiday gift lists.

We are asking you to consider it may be time to re-think how we give, what we give and the impact those gifts have on the giver, the receiver, and the world. If you are up for our thought experiment, read our list of questions below and maybe you will be inspired to spread a new kind of holiday cheer at your work and in your home in 2021.

Instead of the same-old, tired, gift exchange/grab bag can you encourage your office, your family, your friend group to choose to invest in better treatments for children with cancer and hope for their families?

YOU CAN DONATE HERE  and be sure to check the “dedicate to a friend or loved one” box and Swifty will send a note recognizing your holiday gift donation to your “Secret Santa” recipient or mail a check with the name and address of your client, employee, family member and a gift acknowledgement will be mailed. Or find a different cause that is important to you, and make your gift there!

Think of the time, the shopping, the wrapping that goes into what often just becomes next year’s White Elephant gift, and make a different choice this year!

When the relatives go back home, the holiday rush is over and the decorations put away, how do you want to feel about this year’s celebration? “Stuff” is fun for a while, but funding research, knowing you’ve helped children, and their families? That lasts… hope lasts!

How will you “Re-Thunk” your holiday giving?
