William J. Hassett, 67, passed away peacefully at home on the evening of Sunday, October 26, surrounded by his family.

Born and raised in Chicago, Bill’s life was deeply rooted in the community he cherished. Beyond his respected career in accounting and consulting, Bill’s true calling was helping others. He devoted his time, faith, and expertise to countless organizations that strengthened families, supported the homeless, empowered youth, and cared for the elderly.

Bill had a gift for connection. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and, within minutes, make them feel welcome and at ease. His warmth, humor, and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Those who knew him best will remember his compassion, generosity, and the way his presence could fill a room with kindness and light.

His family and friends will forever carry his spirit of love, faith, and service in their hearts.
