Julia’s Fundraiser

My name is Julia McVeigh. This year for Christmas I am doing something special in memory of my brother Jeff Sweeney. Jeff passed away from a glioblastoma brain tumor on February 7, 1997.  This Christmas I am raising money, in his honor. I have chosen the Swifty Foundation as the recipient of my fundraising funds. So, I  encourage my friends and family to help me to find a cure for pediatric brain cancer and donate to Swifty.

Start a Campaign

We’re looking to partner with friends of the Swifty Foundation to start new campaigns that help fund pediatric brain cancer research. Get started today by filling out our campaign form and telling us about what you’d like to do!

Swim – Bike – Run

I’ll probably swim 50 miles, ride over a 1000 miles and run 100’s just to prepare for my 6th Ironman in Madison Wisconsin on Sept 9, 2018. At 56, I’m lucky I get to do this. Many kids who have cancer don’t even get a chance to grow up.

On Sept 9th I want to dedicate my race to:

1) raising awareness for the focused needs around pediatric cancer research and

2) to raise money to help in that effort.
